Artist's Comments

an arist's frustration. what is so frustrating?

trying to get the perfect sketch,drawing,painting,photo,sculpture,etc...

the canvas is the art.the girl, candice,is the artist(not really, just in the photo.i did all the painting),the paint on her hand is the art on the canvas she doesnt like, because she cant fix it...the artist thinks too much. the fire is the frustration killing the painting.

I don't know.
Conceputally the photo's great.
And you have all the right ways to convey it, it's just let down by the lighting.
Would it not have been so much more effective later in the day when the background was darker - more emphasis on the girl and painting, making the fire stand out more?

I love this concept, but I think it should be cropped so that it's just the girl and the painting (and fire).
Cool cool, man.

ps. Candice's hair is wicked awesome.

it wouldn't have been more effective later in the day. the light source would have been coming from the burning canvas, and i didnt want that. my shadow would have gotten in the picture too.
